Named for (and inspired by) the largest park in Seattle, Discovery Park will be home to trails, natural areas, and recreational park space, as well as 273 homesites ranging from 45 feet to 60 feet.
Located just south of Newton Collins Elementary, the 1.62-acre park is the showpiece of this section and the perfect place for an educational adventure! Guests will experience opportunities to discover the park through all of their senses, starting when they enter the park space through a planted, stone portal. This park offers a wide range of topographic features, from open undulating spaces to vista hilltops and groupings of heritage oaks decked with treetop chimes. The interactive sensory experiences will include an inviting play structure and swings, as well as a public art installation from renowned artist Beili Liu. Natural play opportunities call as well, including a dry creek, dig zone, and sensory gardens. Families can gather, picnic, and relax in one of the many shaded seating areas, taking in expansive views of the park and the rolling play lawn beyond.
