Easton Park is thrilled to host and be part of the City of Austin’s annual event series celebrating environmental education and practices in honor of Arbor Day and Monarch Day.
The Roots & Wings Festival is an event series led by the community in neighborhoods all over Austin. It's dedicated to celebrating nature in our neighborhoods and embracing the idea that we are all connected to each other and our local ecosystem.
While you're here, create beautiful eco-friendly crafts to cherish and take home, and embrace the opportunity to engage in interactive workshops on composting, sustainable gardening, and more.
This event is made possible by the generous support of our partners and sponsors who share our passion for a greener future.
The Austin Wildlife Rescue will bring their educational Texas tortoise, Tortellini, as well as information on what to do when you find injured wildlife.
Explore Austin will offer information on their incredible mentoring program and the chance to win swag at their spin wheel.
Tank Doc will bring t-shirts and educational handouts on both ecosystem ponds/mini-water gardens and healthy freshwater aquariums. They will offer easy aquarium plants for sale and allow people to sign up for consulting sessions on getting started with their first planted tank or pond.
The Vortex theater will quiz you on the environment to win fun prizes.
Are you ready for the best leg day ever? It's time for your fourth annual Turkey Trot! Join your neighbors in taking a stroll along our 3-mile mapped trail across the community this Thanksgiving.
The trot is open to participants of all ages and fitness levels, whether you're walking, jogging, biking, pushing a stroller or anything else. It encourages everyone to get outside, stay active, and build connections with their neighbors.
A light breakfast will be served at 9 am at The Union, and Optimize Daily will be hosting a warmup sesh at 9:15 am to get you prepped for your trot.
Community Trot begins at The Union at 9:30 am, but if you would like to participate on your own, feel free to begin at any time of the day.
