Let’s Eat, Y’all: The Growing Food Scene Around Easton Park
If you’ve lived in Easton Park for long, you’ve probably noticed something: it’s getting easier (and more fun) to grab a great meal close to home.
Back in 2024 we did a post about all the cool stuff around Easton Park, and now there’s even more to share. Southeast Austin is quickly becoming a destination in its own right, with new restaurants, bars, and breweries popping up just minutes away — some right inside Easton Park. And the best part? You don’t have to head far when you’re hungry.
Newer Spots to Try
One of the most exciting parts of living in a growing community is watching new places join the neighborhood scene. Located in Easton Park just behind the CVS, Cheba Hut is bringing fresh options and tasty toasted subs. You’ll find a laid-back vibe and a full bar that’s open until midnight. Just across from Easton Park at the corner of McKinney Falls Boulevard and William Cannon, a new Chick-fil-A is set to open in May of 2026, and a Dutch Bros is coming soon as well. And who’s excited about H-E-B coming across the street in 2027?
Right Here in Easton Park
Sometimes, the best spots are the ones right in the neighborhood. Local favorite Cenizo Coffee has made the move into Union Park West, bringing its beloved coffee trailer and cozy vibe even closer to home. It’s the perfect place to start your morning, meet a neighbor, or take a midday break. Sano Market is right next door, offering yummy fresh cold-pressed juices, sandwiches, bowls and more. If you’re craving a sugar rush, hit the Sweet Bites trailer for smoothies, churros, pancakes, and other delights. Need to stay in the car? The McDonald’s at the corner of McKinney Falls Boulevard and William Cannon is a great spot to grab the kids a cheeseburger and fries. And a Refuel Market offering quick eats and snacks will be opening by the Primrose School soon.

International Flavors Close to Home
Craving something beyond the usual? You don’t have to go far. As in, you can walk. The nearby Tree House Park food truck court on Colton Bluff Road offers standout bites from Toast & Tikka and La China ATX. Just down the road, Gangnam Korean BBQ offers a fun, interactive dining experience where diners grill bites on tabletop grills.

Family-Friendly Favorites
Spots like Waterloo Ice House and MOD Pizza, both located a short drive down IH 35 in the Southpark Meadows shopping center, are a go-to for families with kids. These restaurants offer relaxed settings and flexible menus that keep everyone happy. When you want a little more room to spread out, Meanwhile Brewing Co. has become a favorite thanks to its wide-open outdoor space, playground, food trucks, and laid-back atmosphere. If you have any four-legged Eastonites at your house, you can get high quality kibble, raw food, and even doggie froyo at Paws on Chicon’s Easton Park location right in the neighborhood.

Brewery Days & Patio Ways
Speaking of a good hangout, Southeast Austin is building a name for itself when it comes to local breweries. Spots like Pinthouse Brewing and Fast Friends Beer Company offer great beer, relaxed vibes, and plenty of tables to gather with friends. The Little Darlin’ is a longtime local favorite with a big outdoor yard, live music, and that authentic Austin feel.

And This Is Just the Beginning
With Southeast Austin continuing to grow, even more restaurants, bars, and hangouts are on the way. So whether you’re trying something new, gathering with friends, or just looking for a quick way to feed the family, one thing’s clear: around Easton Park, good food and good company are never far away.
